Many of us can talk about our feelings but we often never truly feel them at the place where they are buried in our body.  Feelings can be scary and forbidden places.  We often dismiss or avoid painful feelings, however, the unexpressed feelings will remain buried in our body.  We use a lot of physical and emotional energy to keep them repressed.  Sometimes, there isn’t much energy left over for other activities and we see symptoms such as:


 Fatigue and lethargy...Depression...Blowing up over minor issues...Rage...A knot in the stomach...Tightness in the throat... 

Troubled personal relationships...Lack of motivation...Difficulty accept ourselves and others...Laughing on the outside while crying on the inside...and more. 


You cannot be fully present with yourself and those you love today until you have released your feelings from the past.  Body centered therapy teaches us to identify, feel, move, and process the repressed feelings and stuck energy. So much of a complete life is about what you feel rather than what you think.  Being strongly connected to your emotional life is essential to living your life to the fullest and most satisfying level.
