About Amy Gordon

From an early age, I had been fascinated with non-traditional, non-mainstream aspects of life. This interest translated into my work in the field of holistic nutrition and integrative health. Lifestyle changes, individual nutrition plans, supplements, and energy medicine supported my clients' goals. However the inherent relationship between mind, emotions, body and health became more obvious and important, especially in my own health and personal growth.

After exploring a variety of mind-body modalities, I noticed positive physical changes in my body in response to prior emotional stressors, along with a deeper experience of my self. Many workshops later and as a graduate of the 4-yr Core Energetics Training program, I am presently a Body Centered therapist with a private practice in Asheville, NC.  My approach is grounded in Core Energetics, a somatic therapy modality that uses a variety of movements and breathing based techniques to move emotional blocks and  P.E.E.R. (primary emotional energy recovery) focusing on the co-creation of safety and support, teaching the art of presence for all emotions, and processing the flow of the emotional energy through the body in a non-judgemental way.

When the body and spirit are also included in the process of personal transformation, you can truly become the person you were always meant to be.  Let's get started on your path to transformation.
